Craft stores are a great place to start learning, or purchase, crafts. As arts and crafts have gained popularity, some businesses have begun specializing in providing supplies for these activities. Many places have a staff that is not only knowledgeable about different crafts and how to build them, but enjoy making crafts themselves.

Often the supplies are regular materials, found in many stores, but a craft store brings all these materials together under one roof. Finding fabric, paint, wood and hardware meant going to three or more different places to purchase all the necessary materials. Now they are together, with many more different supplies as well.
